Peachpit Announces AppleScript 1-2-3

· by · News

Peachpit Press introduced AppleScript 1-2-3 by Sal Soghoian and Bill Cheeseman on Wednesday. The book takes users that are new to AppleScript through a step-by-step process to better understand the Mac-based automation language.

The title includes ideas and scripts that came from seminars taught at Macworld Expo & Conference, and includes information that's useful for new and experienced AppleScript coders.

Both of the authors are expert AppleScript users: Sal Saghoian is Apple's Product Manager for Automation Technologies, and Bill Cheeseman has years of AppleScript experience under his belt and is also the author of Cocoa Recipes for Mac OS X.

Chapter 1 from the book is available at Apple's AppleScript Web site, and the full book is available for order at the Peachpit Web site now. It will be available at Macworld Expo in January, and will hit store shelves in early January, too.

AppleScript 1-2-3 is priced at US$49.99.
