Pixelmator Adds Aperture Support

The Pixelmator Team announced the immediate availability of Pixelmator 1.6.1 on Wednesday. The update for the Mac OS X image editing application added support for Apple’s Aperture pro image management application.

Version 1.6.1 also updated the Stroke feature, improved the Photo Browser palette, fixed several bugs, and more. The application includes retouching and color correction tools, supports layers in image documents, supports GPU-based image effects, and more.

Pixelmator is priced at US$59 and is available for download at the Pixelmator Team Web site. The update is free for version 1.x users.
