Version 1.1 also added an updated user interface, Direct Streaming and Direct Play support, subtitle and audio stream selection, local image caching, suport for using the headphone button to play or pause, fixed several bugs, and more.

The Plex app for iOS devices lets users stream content from Macs running Plex Media Server. Plex is often used as an alternative to Apple’s own Front Row application.

Plex 1.1 is priced at US$4.99 and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
