Popcorn 4 Adds AVCHD, Flash Support

· by · Product News

Roxio announced the immediate availability of Popcorn 4 on Tuesday. The new version of the video capture and conversion application added support for importing AVCHD, AVCHD-Lite, and importing and exporting Flash video.

Version 4 can also capture video from YouTube, TiVo and EyeTV, and can auto-set the output format for the iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and more. Users can set video conversions to happen when they aren't using their Mac, and pause and resume conversions, too.

Popcorn includes an overscan feature that smooths the edges of videos, includes a Web template and player controls for exported Flash content, and can add video navigation marker points for the iPhone and iPod.

Popcorn 4 is priced at US$49.99 and is available at the Roxio Web site. It will be available in stores in early November.
