Take Control of Upgrading to Mountain LionTidBITS and Take Control are hoping to make the transition to the upcoming release of OS X Mountain Lion easier with their new “Take Control of Upgrading to Mountain Lion” ebook this week. The 81 page book includes the basics on making the move to Apple’s new operating system for the Mac, and a free update with even more details will be available after Mountain Lion ships.

The ebook by Joe Kissell explains how to upgrade to Mountain Lion from Tiger and Leopard as well as Snow Leopard and Lion, how to manage iCloud accounts, hardware requirements, duplicated data, and more.

Take Control of Upgrading to Mountain Lion” is priced at US$10 until Mountain Lion ships, and is available in PDF format. After OS X Mountain Lion is released, Take Control will bump the book up to its regular $15 price.

The version 1.1 update for the ebook will be available after Mountain Lion ships later in July.
