app4mac released Presto 1.0 on Monday. Presto 1.0 is a utility designed for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard that allows users to define text abbreviations for frequently used phrases.

When an abbreviation is typed, it expands to the full phrase through a user interface. Presto 1.0 can be used to insert standard greetings, signatures or phrases into any application. Abbreviations can also be organized into groups for ease of access. The utility is available in English and French.

Presto 1.0 is available through the app4mac Web site for US$11.87.
