ProteMac announced the immediate availability of NetMine 1.0 on Wednesday. NetMine is a network firewall application for Mac OS X that the company says can protect your Mac from unwanted traffic on your network as well as protect from software-based attacks started from your computer.

NetMine protects against attacks from viruses, spyware, Trojan horses, worms, bots, and rootkits, blocks browser and application-based threats, intercepts unwanted network connection attempts, protects against ping floods and port scans, and more.

NetMine 1.0 is priced at US$29.95 and is available for download at the ProteMac Web site.
