Puzzle Game Paradise Quest Arrives at the App Store

| Games

I-play has announced that its popular PC puzzle adventure game Paradise Quest is now available at the App Store. It uses the match-three puzzle game mechanic to take gamers on a trip through the Galapagos archipelago, where they try to restore the island of Isabela to its former beauty.

As players make matches on the moving game board, they unleash earthquakes, tornadoes, and other natural events. The game takes advantage of the iPhone OS’ micro-transactions to allow players to buy a Paradise Nights bonus pack with 20 new levels. An included coupon code gives them a discount on the PC version of Paradise Quest.

I-play said that a free update later this month will allow players to compete against others in head-to-head or cooperative challenges via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Paradise Quest sells for US$1.99 and requires iPhone OS 3.0.

That’s clever.  It would be even more clever if they donated a portion of their proceeds to actually doing that!  As a perpetual fund raiser for Galapagos, a former resident, and an American-Ecuadorian…I can think of a two dozen ways we could use some help.
