QuickerTek Intros Internal 802.11n Upgrade for Older MacBooks

· by · Product News

QuickerTek announced the immediate availability of its new nCard upgrade for first, second and third generation MacBook and MacBook Pro models, and the Mac mini.

The nCard replaces the Mac's internal AirPort Extreme card, and the company says the upgrade is as simple as a memory upgrade. It offers 802.1a/b/g/n support, offers higher transmit power and receiver sensitivity than Apple's AirPort Extreme card, and doesn't require additional software.

The nCard is priced at US$89.95 for the MacBook and MacBook Pro, or $179.95 for the Mac mini upgrade kit.
