Revamped Firefox 4 Hits the Web

Mozilla announced the immediate availability of Firefox 4 on Tuesday. The new version of the multi-platform Web browser sports a redesigned user interface, improved performance, and more.

Version 4 offers a new tab management system that includes tab groups, attempts to save some screen real estate by placing the reload button in the URL field, adds the ability to lock tabs for sites you visit regularly, and adds in-application bookmark, password and history syncing. The new version also improves HTML5 and CSS3 support, adds support for Google’s WebM video format, and more.

Firefox 4 is free and available for download at the Mozilla Web site.

I’m surprised no one is mentioning that. It’s like everyone assumes no one is using PPC machines.

Note: if you’re using a G4 or G5 - stick with 3.6.16 or look for a Mac Optimized Firefox build.
