Cynical Peak Software announced the immediate availability of Rivet 2.1 on Wednesday. The update for the Xbox 360 and PS3 content streaming app for Mac OS X added Italian and Spanish localizations, and also improved the French localization.

The update also corrected a problem that could let users set shared directories that caused performance problems, fixed a bug that let the root folder display music when sharing was disabled, fixed issues with streaming photos, improved overall stability, and more.

Rivet 2.1 is priced at US$18.95 and is available for download at the Cynical Peak Software Web site. The update is free for current users.
