Samurai: Way of the Warrior Takes iPhone Gamers Back to 16th Century

Mad Finger Games on Wednesday released Samurai: Way of the Warrior for iPhone and iPod touch. The hack-and-slash combat game takes players back to the 16th century, where samurai Daisuke Shimada wanders the Japanese countryside in search of Daimyo Hattoro, the mad provincial ruler who must be defeated.

Players fight enemies in forests, inside buildings, near castles, and in prisons as they accumulate experience, unlock new combo attacks, and tackle boss battles. They can also enter Dojo mode to spar with partners and build their skills.

Samurai: Way of the Warrior sells for US$2.99 and requires iPhone OS 2.2.1.
