Sonos Wireless Dock Sends iPhone Music to ZonePlayers

| Product News

Sonos announced Thursday the Sono Wireless Dock, a device that will grab music from your iPhone or iPod touch and send it to Sonos ZonePlayers throughout your home.

ZonePlayers are Sonos’s wireless 5-speaker system that will play music from your iTunes collection, from Internet radio stations, and from other Internet-based music services like Pandora, Last.fm, Rhapsody, and others. The devices are controllable from your iPhone or iPod touch, and by docking your iPhone/iPod touch in the Wireless Dock, you can also send music from those devices to your ZonePlayers.

The Wireless Dock will work with iPod touch (1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation), iPod classic, iPod nano (3rd, 4th, and 5th generation), iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPhone.

The device is priced at US$119, and it is currently scheduled to ship at the end of October. Sonos has not yet added it its Web site.
