After a four year wait Star Trek gaming fans can finally play the Star Trek Online multiplayer game on the Mac. Windows PC users have been able to visit strange new worlds and new civilizations ever since the game launched, but Mac users were left in space dock with no way to warp out of orbit.
Star Trek Online is finally open to Mac users
The game lets players choose which race they're part of, build their own starships, and embark on adventures throughout the galaxy. The game includes planets and alien life forms from the popular TV and movie franchise, plus new parts of the galaxy to explore.
Star Trek Online is free to play and offers in-game purchases to expand your universe and add additional campaigns. The game requires OS X 10.7.5 or higher and an broadband Internet connection. You can sign up for a free account at the Star Trek Online website.
