Steve Wozniak to Keynote MILCOM 2010

· by · News

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will be presenting the opening keynote address at the military communication conference, MILCOM, in October. The event brings together experts in military communications and networking, and while it may not seem like the kind of crowd Woz usually hangs out with, it will be packed with lots of people eager to discuss the latest technological breakthroughs.

"Steve Wozniak is a renowned technology leader and innovator, and we are pleased he will kickoff MILCOM 2010," commented Joanne Maguire executive vice president of Lockheed Martin's Space Systems, and co-general chair of the conference.

MILCOM runs from October 31 through November 3 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. Additional information about the event is available at the MILCOM Web site.

I wonder if there is any connection between Apple’s PA Semi chip team, whose efficient designs the US military seems to be using, and Woz. For example, did Apple send Woz to smooth things over with the Pentagon’s Military Industrial Complex over the future of the future of that chip’s designs, considering that the Pentagon’s mercenaries/private contractors help to fund congress’s election campaigns? Probably not, but one never knows what evils lurk in the heart and mind of that Complex, so it’s worth monitoring this development.
