StorCenter NAS Adds Time Machine Support, Removable Drives

Iomega announced the immediate availability of its StorCenter ix2-200 NAS data storage and backup system on Thursday. The dual hard drive system added support for networked Time Machine backups, and offers user-replaceable drives.

The StorCenter ix2-200 NAS


The ix2-200 offers Gigabit Ethernet, three USB 2 ports, Bluetooth, Bonjour support, device-to-device data replication, and a Web-based configuration interface. It includes iSCSI support, is VMware VMFS certified, supports AFP, Windows Active Directory, DLNA home media server support, and a built-in photo slideshow viewer.

The NAS supports User and Group-level management, folder quotas, includes an iTunes Server, offers Axis video surveillance camera support, and more.

The StorCenter ix2-200 is available in a 1TB capacity for US$269.99, 2TB for $369.99 and 4TB for $699.99.
