TechRestore Intros Matte Screens for new MacBook Air

· by · Product News

TechRestore announced its new matte finish display upgrades for Apple’s just released 13.3- and 11.6-inch MacBook Air models on Friday. The upgrades completely replace the standard glossy display the ultra-light laptops ship with instead of simply applying an anti-glare coating.

The matte finish display upgrade offers the same specifications as the factory-installed displays Apple uses including LED backlighting, matching color depth and matching resolution. The display upgrade also includes a black bezel that matches the look of a stock MacBook Air.

TechRestore offers matte displays for Apple laptops

Although Apple’s glossy display offers great color for movie playback, TechRestore’s matte display upgrade is good news for MacBook Air buyers looking for easier color matching, and users that need to cut down on display glare.

The upgrade program will be available soon and includes local laptop drop-off at over 4,000 locations around the U.S., 24-hour turnaround, display installation, free return shipping and a one-year warranty on parts and labor for US$249.

TechRestore has notoriously always been terrible at replacing screens with a matte option.

Look how what a shoddy job they do: http://www.macworld.com/article/138574/2009/02/techrestorembp.html

It’s horrendous.
