They Might Be Giants get in Your iPhone

They Might Be Giants released their own iPhone app on Wednesday so fans can listen to the band's music for free. The app downloads a new selection daily and keeps the five most recent tracks handy for your listening pleasure.

Along with a rotating selection of free songs, the TMBG app also includes links to the iTunes Store for each song, the band's podcast and blog, Facebook, Twitter, and Google +.

The They Might Be Giants app is free and available at Apple's iTunes-based App Store.

Thanks for finding this. I have heard of them for years, but never listened to them. This is a cool idea for indie bands to get their work out, without giving it all away.

TMBG have long been Apple fans. They even released a HyperCard stack with samples of one of their albums way back in the nineties. There’s an emulator of the stack out on the web, at http://tmbg.bryceland.com/JHstack.php

They’re coming to Seattle soon, and I hope to be able to see them live for the first time.

I downloaded it onto my iPhone 3GS. It doesn’t work.
