Third Gen iPad Launches in South Korea, More on Friday

Apple’s third generation iPad is about to find a home in 12 more countries including South Korea starting this Friday. The company announced the launch on Monday, and that nine more countries will join the iPad family on April 27.

Along with South Korea, Apple’s April 20 iPad launch list includes:

  • Brunei
  • Croatia
  • Cyprus
  • Dominican Republic
  • El Salvador
  • Guatemala
  • Malaysia
  • Panama
  • St Maarten
  • Uruguay
  • Venezuela

The April 27 launch list includes:

  • Colombia
  • Estonia
  • India
  • Israel
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Montenegro
  • South Africa
  • Thailand

 

The third generation iPad has been Apple’s largest to date. Sales during the first three days of availability in March hit three million with senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller calling it “the strongest ipad launch yet.”

Pricing for the third gen iPad starts at US$499 in the U.S.
