Third Generation iPad Comes to India, 8 More Countries

Apple’s launched sales of its third generation iPad in nine more countries on Friday. The new release is part of Apple’s fastest iPad rollout so far, and includes Israel, India, and South Africa.

The other countries in Friday’s iPad launch include Columbia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, and Thailand.

The newest iPad model includes a high resolution Retina Display, Apple’s A5X processor with quad-core graphics, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a 5 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture support, and some models include 4G LTE high speed wireless data support, too.

The third generation iPad has been Apple’s largest to date. Sales during the first three days of U.S. availability hit three million units. Senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller calling the event “the strongest iPad launch yet.”
