TidBITS Releases “Take Control of Syncing Data in Snow Leopard”

TidBITS Publishing announced Friday the release of Take Control of Syncing Data in Snow Leopard, the newest title if the company's series of Take Control books. Written by Michael E/ Cohen, this book shows Snow Leopard users how to sync data to and from their Mac.
According to the company, the book covers how to sync a Mac running Snow Leopard with:
- Another Mac
- Microsoft Exchange
- The cloud (i.e. MobileMe or Google)
- An iPhone, iPod, or Apple TV
- A non-Apple mobile phone or PDA (i.e. a Palm or Blackberry)
Types of sync data covered include:
- Calendars
- Contacts
- Dock items
- Dashboard widgets
- Safari bookmarks
- Keychains
- Mail and Entourage notes
- iTunes media files
Types of devices covered include:
- Macs, with details on MobileMe and overviews of popular third-party options
- The iPhone and iPod touch, via Google, Microsoft Exchange, MobileMe, or iTunes
- iPods via iTunes, with details on USB and FireWire connections
- The Apple TV via iTunes
- Mobile phones, smartphones, BlackBerries, and Palm OS PDAs via iSync and/or third-party utilities
The book is available now through the Take Control Web site for US$21.98 for the print version and $10.00 for a downloadable version.
