TMO at WWDC 2009
June 5th, 2009 at 8:30 AM - WWDC by Jeff Gamet
Apple's World Wide Developer Conference kicks off in San Francisco on Monday, June 8. The Mac Observer will be there offering live coverage of Monday morning's keynote presentation, along with event coverage throughout the week.
TMO will also offer event coverage throughout the week along with developer interviews, and it's all neatly grouped so you can find everything in one place. If you are a developer and want to talk with us at WWDC, be sure to let us know.
Our on-site team will be Tweeting live from WWDC, too. Our on location team will include John Martellaro, Ted Landau, Dave Hamilton, Bryan Chaffin and Bob LeVitus. You can follow TMO's news coverage on Twitter at MacObserver, and see our live keynote coverage at MacObserverLive, too.
Be sure to check in Monday morning for our live keynote coverage, and throughout the rest of the week for additional WWDC news.

I would have liked to see something more interactive for this years convention. Maybe something like Coveritlive.com
I was a part of a few liveblogs this year from Governer press conferences to the E3 expo and found it very rewarding and informative.
I’ve been very pleased with the live coverage of events. Keep up the good work.
IS IT STARTING YET?! I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE STEVE JOBES GET UP THERE AND SHOW THE MACTABLET™, MAC OS X 10.10®, AND THE NEW IPHONE THAT’S SO COOL IT DOESN’T NEED A WIRELESS CARRIER! SOME GUY AT AN APPLE STORE SAID THAT THIS STUFF WAS COMING, SO I KNOW IT’S REAL!
Well, now that I’ve taken care of the obligatory minimum of that kind of nonsense, I hope that there is a surprise or two in the keynote. I know I’ve read it before, but I’ve always kinda’ expected the ‘One more thing’ to be Steve Jobs coming out on stage to announce something, even if it is just the date of his official return to active duty in Cupertino.
Most of the WWDC buzz has been about the iPhone, and that’s cool since the iPhone is the biggest deal for app developers, but I sincerely hope that Mac OS X 10.6 doesn’t end up being treated like an afterthought in the keynote. I’ve used the latest development builds of Snow Leopard (I work for a software company), and I honestly can’t see/feel/smell much difference between it and Leopard, with it running on my Mac Pro. So, I hope that the new dev release shows us some more substantive differences, and/or those differences get a good bit of the spotlight (not Spotlight™).
Arstechnica covered a decent session with maybe a bit over 55,000 viewers. I ended up having the Mac Observer liveblog open with the ustream that someone had running of the keynote and got all my OMG comments out on twitter.

Some others had issues with coveritlive, but i heard they upgraded their servers to better handle load during keynotes, not to mention they also added a premium service.
It was a live, choppy feed of the event, low quality, but the audio played well to supplement the live blog information i was reading.
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/wwdc-2009-live-stream is what I used but I’m not sure who sponsored it.
