Apple will be hosting a special media event at 10AM pacific time on Wednesday, September 9, and The Mac Observer will be on location to bring you live coverage. Apple is expected to introduce new iPod models, and many are speculating the company has a surprise or two in store.
TMO readers can check out our live event stream at our special event Web page, and out MacObserverLive Twitter feed will include real-time blow-by-blow coverage, too.
Apple has previously used special media events in September to introduce updates to the iPod line, and this time around the rumor mill is saying we can expect to see models with built-in cameras. Many are also hoping for an announcement that The Beatles digitally remastered albums will make an appearance at the iTunes Store because the date also marks the album collection's release along with the launch of The Beatles Rock Band expansion pack.
Staying true to form, Apple has been tight lipped about the event. So far the only hint that new iPods could be on the way comes in the form of a dancing woman holding an iPod on the media event invitation.
Be sure to check in with TMO on Wednesday for our live coverage and follow up analysis.

11” MacBook Air 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5: $999.00 Delivered

So I hopped on the live feed site this morning. By about 11:00 it dawned on me that either the event was the most disappointing one in Apple’s history, or I was a day early.
See you tomorrow.
