United States of Pool Offers 9-Ball for Mac

Mac Games and More on Friday released United States of Pool, which features solo or two-player nine-ball in realistic or arcade modes. The former strictly enforces all nine-ball rules and uses realistic physics, while the latter relaxes the rules and uses power-ups that make balls faster or perform special moves that defy the laws of physics.

The solo game takes players to cities across the United States, where they play nine-ball against various computer-controlled opponents, requiring them to earn a minimum number of points to move on to their next destination. They can choose from 15 customizable avatars; five different colors are available for the pool table tops too.

Pricing is US$9.95, with a trial version available. System requirements were not disclosed.
