Verizon Expanding Ohio, Florida LTE Networks

· by · News

Verizon will be adding the Cleveland, Ohio area to its 4G LTE network on April 19, as well as Sandusky. The Ocala are in Florida will get Verizon LTE coverage later this month, too.

The Cleveland expansion means customers will be able to take advantage of LTE data speeds outside of the downtown area, Cleveland-Hopkins Airport, and several surrounding communities. “With the planned network expansion, residents in areas from Lorain east along Lake Erie to Madison and south from Madison to U.S. Route 422 will have access to the nation’s fastest 4G network,” the company said.

Verizon’s LTE rollout in Sandusky will add coverage for Danbury Township, Mineyahta-on-the-Bay, Sandusky Bay, Johnsons Island, NASA Plum Brook Station, and the towns of Grand Forest Beach and Castalia. According to the cell service provider, the Ocala are will be the 16th market in Florida to get its 4G LTE coverage.

LTE promises faster wireless data speeds than 3G, and with Verizon’s April 19 coverage expansion on the way, that means more third generation iPad owners will be able to load Web pages faster and stream higher quality movies.
