· by · Games

Virtual Programming announced Thursday that it would be bringing Supreme Commander 2 (SC2) to the Mac. Released for Windows and Xbox 360 in March, SC2 is a real-time strategy game set far into the future with combat based around mechs and other futuristic weaponry.

The game takes place 25 years after the the original Supreme Commander, and features three factions — UEF, Illuminate, and Cybran — , and each faction has its own units, back story, and characters. With an entire galaxy to choose from, combat takes place over a large variety of maps.

VP hasn’t announced a release date or pricing as of yet, but a company spokesperson assured The Mac Observer that it would be released when it’s ready.

Below we’ve embedded the original trailer for the game.
