Version 1.1 supports the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and recent iPod touch models, as well as the iPad. The update also adds compatibility with more file types that aren’t natively supported by iOS, offers smoother playback, and lets users delete files without first connecting your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to iTunes on your computer.

VLC Media Player is free and is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
