VMware Intros View Client for iPad

VMware announced the immediate availability of View for iPad on Wednesday. View for iPad is an app that lets users connect to and control their VMware virtual Windows machines with touch-based gestures on an iPad through View 4.6.

View for iPad supports Wi-Fi and 3G data connections, includes gestures for actions such as clicking, dragging and selecting items, supports Bluetooth and docked keyboards, and includes iPad VGA adapter support for using external monitors and projectors.

View for iPad is free and available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.

this is interesting stuff. I’m curious about the new gestures that emulate mousing and clicking. Lots of applications have “tool-tips” that you access by hovering, I wonder how that works in this environment.
