Walter Isaacson to Discuss Steve Jobs on 60 Minutes

Walter Isaacson, the well known author that wrote the official Steve Jobs biography, will be appearing on CBS’s 60 Minutes new show on Sunday, October 23, to discuss his book on Apple’s co-founder and former CEO.

Steve Jobs official biographyThe news show’s team said in a post on Twitter, “Steve Kroft sits down with historian Walter Isaacson for the first look at the authorized biography of Steve Jobs.”

Mr. Isaacson is the only author to get approval from Mr. Jobs for an official biography of the man’s life. Mr. Jobs gave him access to his family, friends and co-workers, and Mr. Isaacson spent months conducting interviews for the book.

Mr. Jobs passed away on October 5 following a prolonged health battle brought on by a metastatic pancreas neuroendocrine tumor. Mr. Jobs was diagnosed with the tumor in 2003, and later received a liver transplant, too.

The official biography of Steve Jobs is scheduled to ship on October 24 and will be available through book stores as well as Amazon.com and Apple’s iBookstore.
