X3: Terran Conflict for Mac Brings X Universe Story to a Close

Virtual Programming on Friday released X3: Terran Conflict, the final chapter in the X Universe storyline. While it wraps up the loose threads from the previous game, in which the X Universe made contact with the long-ago-cut-off Earth, it also offers an open-ended experience in which players can explore an even larger galaxy.

As players undertake missions and build wealth, they can become economic powerhouses dominating intergalactic trading lanes while amassing enough military might to engage in massive battles between fleets of ships. They can take the role of a member of any of the X Universe's human, alien, and machine races, experiencing the story and the game world from a slightly different point-of-view.

X3: Terran Conflict is available for download from Virtual Programming's Deliver2Mac digital delivery service and can be purchased at retail stores. Pricing is US$39.95 and system requirements call for Mac OS X version 10.5.7, a 2.16GHz Intel processor, 1GB RAM, 256MB video RAM, and 7GB hard drive space.
