Xcode 4.4 Preview Rolls Out for Developers

Hot on the heals of the release of Xcode 4.3 on Thursday, Apple also rolled out a developer preview version of Xcode 4.4.

Xcode PreviewThe preview build of the application development tool lets coders compile apps for OS X Mountain Lion so they can start testing their apps before the OS’s planned summer release.

Apple unveiled OS X Mountain Lion on Thursday and also released a developer preview of the operating system. The new OS will include more iPad-inspired features such as Notification Center and Reminders, and offers tighter iCloud integration compared to OS X Lion.

The developer preview of Xcode 4.4 is available as a free download to Developer Program members through the Apple website.
