Yojimbo 2 Improves Tagging Support, More

· by · Product News

Bare Bones Software announced the immediate availability of Yojimbo 2.0 on Tuesday. The new version of the information organization application added a new Tag Explorer that lets users view the contents in library collections and refine lists based on the currently selected tags.

Version 2 also added a Quick Input panel with drag-and-drop image support, auto-builds titles for untitled URLs, and lets users assign additional metadata to items during import. The Save PDF to Yojimbo option now lets users set the item name during import, and assign tags, flags, labels and comments.

The search field now auto-completes tag and label names, includes the ability to clear highlighted search terms, and Yojimbo also remembers previous sort orders along with which items were selected in each collection.

Yojimbo 2.0 is priced at US$39 and is available at the Bare Bones Software Web site. Five user family packs cost $69, and educational licenses cost $29. Upgrades are priced at $20.
