ZappTek announced the immediate availability of Legend Maker 1.0 for Mac OS X on Monday. Legend Maker creates ebooks formatted in the ePub standard, making them compatible with Apple’s iPad, the Amazon Kindle, the Nook from Barnes & Noble.
The application imports RTF documents, retains most layout and typography settings from the original document, and doesn’t require users to know HTML or other coding languages. It supports creating table of contents, hyperlinks and endnotes, supports image placement, supports ebook metadata, and more.
Legend Maker 1.0 is priced at US$99 and is available at the ZappTek Web site. The application requires an Intel-based Mac and Mac OS X 10.6 or newer, and includes free updates for life.
