The company touts the Zite app as a “personalized magazine” that learns what you like and automatically updates the content is shows based on your viewing habits. The app includes multiple news categories, the ability to rank articles, and can sync content between your iPhone and iPad via a free Zite account.

The Zite update follows an update from Flipboard earlier this week that added iPhone support, and Google’s Currents app launch.

Zite 1.3 for the iPad and iPhone requires iOS 4 or newer. It is free and available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
