Sony’s FDR-AX100 Camcorder Offers Stunning 4K at Prosumer Prices

Okay, so you’ve got a new Mac Pro that can edit 4K video “like butter,” a bevy of new affordable 4K displays, and massive Thunderbolt storage to store all of your files. But how do you get 4K content to start with? Sony has the answer with a new prosumer-targeted 4K camcorder, the FDR-AX100. Launching in March for $2,000, the compact device isn’t cheap, but it’s one of the most affordable ways to capture high quality 4K footage. Apple Continues to Refine iOS 7 Design with iOS 7.1 Beta 3

Apple on Tuesday released the third beta of iOS 7.1 to developers, and many design tweaks were quickly identified. With the major changes brought by iOS 7, it appears that Apple is still refining the look and feel of its new mobile platform, although sources suggest the final build won't launch until March.

Corning Unveils Antimicrobial Gorilla Glass, Kills Touch Screen Germs with Silver

Corning on Monday unveiled a new antimicrobial variant of its popular Gorilla Glass product. Aimed at touch screen devices, the new glass features ionic silver, which actively works to kill bacteria, mold, mildew, and fungi, and reportedly lasts throughout the life of the device. Corning is aiming to bring the product to the broader smartphone and tablet market soon.
