Corning on Monday unveiled a new antimicrobial variant of its popular Gorilla Glass product. Aimed at touch screen devices, the new glass features ionic silver, which actively works to kill bacteria, mold, mildew, and fungi, and reportedly lasts throughout the life of the device. Corning is aiming to bring the product to the broader smartphone and tablet market soon.
