Artist Recycles Tech Trash into Steve Jobs

Jason Mecier is a San Francisco-based artist that can see the art hidden inside old and cast off junk, and he found the face of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in computer parts from years gone by. He created a portrait of Mr. Jobs based on the photo used for the cover of his autobiography from iPhone parts, circuit boards, floppy disks, batteries, and more. Despite the fact that it looks like a jumble of thrown away technology remnants, it's still clearly Mr. Jobs's face you're looking at. The piece was a special commission, and Mr. Mercier talks about how it came to be in an Re/code interview.
