Just about every mobile device user can choose from a plethora of apps to keep tabs on the weather at a nearby regional weather station, but Danish firm Robocat plans to provide a slick way to check the temperature much more locally. The Thermodo, a Kickstarter-backed thermometer, plugs into the headphone jack on a smartphone or tablet and can report the indoor or outdoor air temperature of the immediate area via a companion app. The device can be had with pledges starting at $25 and is expected to ship in August.
