Meet Julie Adenuga, the DJ who will be in charge of Apple's Beats 1 London desk. Beats 1 will be a 24/7 global radio station based on shows from Los Angeles, New York City, and London. We've covered Zane Lowe, formerly of BBC 1, who will be heading the Los Angeles branch of the station. But who's heard of Julie Adenuga? Apparently a lot of folks, especially in the UK. Vice magazine ran a piece on her Thursday that called her Apple's best decision in the WWDC announcements, and if you're interested in Apple's new radio station, you should reaad it. For one thing, she was an Apple Store employee a few years ago, but is now considered a "no-[$%#!]-given underground tastemaker." She also claims recording artists JME and Skepta as siblings.
