Any case produced by Apple itself has to survive a fair amount of scrutiny. After all Apple makes the device the case is protecting. It has to work well in every way, from the out of box experience, to putting it on the device, to protecting the device it covers. Not surprisingly, Apple's iPhone 6 Silicone Case does stand up to scrutiny, assuming you're looking for a case that doesn't claim to take extreme punishment.
Seidio's DILEX Pro case is an integrated two piece case for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. One of its features is a built-in metal kickstand. It can be purchased alone or bundled with a very nice plastic clip-in belt holster. Notable is the soft texture back and a great grip and feel.
Eight is the most unique iPhone accessory I've seen, and it's the most beautiful. Designed by Slovakian company Stark, Eight is a wooden acoustic amplifier/dock for your iPhone 5/5s/6. With the addition of the included Lightning cable, it's also a charging dock. It's hand crafted, made of gorgeous wood, is cleverly designed, feels amazing (seriously), and it sounds OK.
The OtterBox Symmetry case for the iPhone 6/6 Plus is in the middle of the spectrum of protection. It affords more cushioning than clear, thin polycarbonate cases, but not the ultimate protection of the OtterBox Defender. The style and materials are first-class. It's availble now in gorgeous two-tone colors with spiffy patterns coming later.
Some iPhone cases are designed for robust protection, but others can meet the needs of the average user in a fairly benign environment. The iLuv Vyneer for iPhone 6 (and 6 Plus) is the latter: an excellent case that affords protection with style. And it lets the color of the iPhone shine through.
There are occasions when you must have an iPhone with you, readily available, but the environment is rugged. Examples are construction, airline and military operations. In those cases, one may prefer to have the ultimate in iPhone protection: ports covered, display protected, and a multi-layer, cushioned shells. This case fills the bill.
Apple went big with its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus introduction — with the launch event and screen size. Both models are bigger than any iPhone Apple has made before, and very noticeably so. That size, however, does come with some benefits like faster processors, better cameras, and even support NFC-based mobile payment systems. Compared to the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, the new models really are a lot bigger, and for some people, the extra features may not be worth the size increase. Read on to see if the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are worth the price for you.
There is no way around it. Most any case for the iPhone will change its look, feel and heft. The question is, given that you want some good protection and mobile accessories what kinds of options do you want? Rokform provides a boatload.
Apple laid the groundwork for the future of its iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch operating system last year with iOS 7, and now the company is building on that foundation with the launch of iOS 8. Instead of shocking us with a new look that shuns the old skeuomorphic feel -- that happened last year -- Apple is giving us tighter integration between our mobile gear and our Macs, and making features we're already familiar with more useful. Apple promised lots of great new features, but many of those won't be available until next month. Is there enough today to justify making the jump to iOS 8, or should you follow Apple's lead and wait until October, too? Read on to find out if iOS 8 is ready to meet your needs today.
Star Walk 2 is the next generation of the venerable sky charting program by Vito Technology that was launched in 2008. This iOS app has been well received throughout the years, but the new release suffers from too many user interface and usability errors, and its does not fare well compared to the competition at the same price.
