Blackmagic Design was showing their Blackmagic Video Recorder at this week's Macworld Expo. The device has a USB connector on one end, and offers your choice of composite, S-Video and component video inputs.
SAN FRANCISCO -- Feral Interactive on Thursday announced plans to publish Rome: Total War Gold on the Mac in March. The 3D strategy game will be the second in the company's line of Feral Legends titles, and Feral is showing it off in their Macworld Expo booth.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Paragon Software Group this week released 30 SlovoEd dictionaries -- three explanatory in English, French, and Spanish and 27 bilingual -- at Macworld Expo. When loaded into Mac OS X, they allow users to point their cursor at a word and obtain its translation or definition, complete with usage and sound samples, transcription, grammar information, and color markup.
SAN FRANCISCO -- IntelliScanner, which earlier this week introduced mini cubed at Macworld Expo, has added SOHO cubed to its line of scanning solutions. Also packaged in a metal box, SOHO cubed includes a portable USB scanner, pre-printed asset tags, and software aimed at small business owners. It sells for US$299.
SAN FRANCISCO -- Axiotron has announced the Modbook Pro, an after-market modification of a 15-inch MacBook Pro that turns the laptop into a tablet computer. It will be available in May or June. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will be at the Axiotron booth on Thursday, January 8, at 1 PM Pacific time for an additional Modbook Pro presentation. He helped unveil the new product on Tuesday.
Ecamm Network demonstrated the BT-1, the world's first Bluetooth wireless webcam, at this week's Macworld Expo. The BT-1 provides 640 x 480 H.264 video at a frame rate of 15 fps, and 48 kHz AAC stereo audio. It has a compact 2" x 2.5" x 5/8" form factor.
