A couple days ago a friend showed me his new HTC EVO 3D. I have never even been to a 3D movie, and don’t care to, so I was pretty skeptical. However I was impressed with his phone’s ability to shoot and display 3D photos without special glasses! Would you like to see this feature come to the iPhone? Why or why not?

Problems with App Store

Is anyone else having problems logging in to the iTunes Store? I’m trying to upgrade two apps and though I’ve put in the correct info, I get a screen saying that I can’t log in. The problem started around 2p Eastern.

Alarm Problem

Hi,

I have an Iphone 3gs and have a alarm problem when i put the alarm at 7 o’clock it rings at 6 o’clock, the problem its from the changing time day, can someone help me please. I tried the time zone, i tried the Am Pm to 24 hours but didn’t work.

FindMyiPhone

A couple of weeks I dropped my iPhone in some long grass behind our house. FindMyiPhone allowed me to very quickly locate it - it would have taken much longer to locate it. The disastrous earthquake in Christchurch got me thinking - especially as Wellington is more prone to these than Chch is) - how could this help in recovery of survivors/bodies. But, as you can see from the transcript below, it can’t.

I have two suggestions, which I have provided to Apple in feedback: Apple provide a (carefully handled) override for emergency services to locate iPhones; a registry be set up for emergency services to access with users, MobileMe ids and passwords on it. But it seems to me that an override would be a more efficient way to do it.

People stuck under rubble with an iPhone are quite possibly unconscious. Using FindMyiPhone could help locate them.

But someone trying to locate them wouldn’t know the password, quite probably.

Is there any way emergency services could be allowed an emergency override? It could save lives.

It cannot unfortunately.
