In mid-Monday trading AKAM is active at about $15.50 per share. The Internet content delviery firm surprised the Street last week with better than expected results and continues to enjoy new favor with investors.

I think AKAM’s new client activity is evidence of the beginnings of a tech turnaround as more large enterprises integrate Internet-based content delivery as a means of reducing costs and increasing efficiency.

Market cap is currently about $1.85 billion and the stock is trading at more than 12 times its 52-week low of $1.22 per share.

AKAM scored another new 52-week high today, hitting $16.79 before falling off on the day to end at $15.35.

Akamai’s market cap is closing in on $2 billion and this week the company announced a restructuring of its debt following suprisngly positive results in the most recent 3-month period.

AKAM hit another 52-week high today, advancing to $16.97 in Monday morning activity. Akamai continues to score new contracts with major enterprises and the new order activity may indeed be a harbinger of an overall tech market turnaround.
