Soon after Steve Jobs returned to Apple his managment team established [http://www.filemaker.com/]FileMaker[/url] as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Apple.
Today FileMaker, Inc. announced the release of FileMaker Pro 7, the latest version of the popular cross platform database solution.
Apple consolidates FileMaker Inc.‘s sales in the omnibus “other” category on it financial reports. However, the increasing popularity of FileMaker (it’s currently the number one independent database solution for small enterprises) does provide a benefit to Apple’s revenue and earnings.
Does FileMaker, Inc. factor in the minds of investors or is this wholly-owned subsidiary of Apple just a forgotten element of Apple’s overall activities?
