Apple announced the iTunes Music Store has sold more than 50 million songs exclusive of the Pepsi free song promotion. Wall Street has rewarded Apple’s success and the resulting sales of iPods and iPod minis by bidding up AAPL’s share rpice.

The Pepsi promotion only adds to Apple’s iTMS/iPod success. Have you won a free song download via of the Pepsi/iTMS song giveaway?

I’ve yet to see the Pepsi 20 oz. products with the free song promotion in in my area but I’ve won three free downloads via of the purchase of 32 oz. fountain sodas at 7-11.

The right bottles finally started showing up here in St. Louis.  My mother first saw them at a Walgreens, and on my last trip to Shop ‘n Save, I found some in a glass case right by my check-out lane and I picked up two Sierra Mist bottles, since I’d never had one before.  One of those was a winner, and I’ve been given 4 winning caps from family members, since my father still runs OS 9 at home, and my brother Win98.

I’ve seen them all over Central Illinois.  I’ve won at least 7 now, not sure how many bottles I’ve purchased…but I do know that my odds are better than 1:3! 

I’m still trying to get number 20.  The store where I most often buy in bottles seems to now only be getting in new stock of Diet that doesn’t have any promo caps on it.  But I won several there over the past few weeks.  I bought another with the right cap today at another place, but it was a loser.  Stuck at 19.

I discovered a single store in town this week that carries Sierra Mist with the iTunes caps. I admit, I peeked with the tilt trick, and got one on the first try.

Remember that this is the last day to enter those codes, though the song credits will hang around for another month.
