Adobe Reports Blow Out Quarter

After today’s market close Adobe Systems reported earnings of $.50 per share on revenue of $423 million. This contrasts with year earlier results of $.23 per share on revenue of $296 million. Management also raised estimates for earnings and revenue for the current fiscal year.

Adobe should open on Friday significantly above its Thursday closing price of $36.27 per share.

Adobe powered higher by $.358 on volume of almost 20 million shares to end the day at $39.85, crossing over the $40.00 per share marker briefly in intra-day activity. The almost 10% rise in share price was due to strong gains in revenue and earnings.
