Font sizes in new forum design

Am I missing something? For reading the main news page I have selected the middle font size. In the discussions forum the font is huge by comparison. If I select the smaller font size in either the forums or new pages, the font size is still quite big in the forums - though an improvement.

I am browsing by the way with IE6 on XP at work - have not seen the changes yet via Safari.
