The new layout at RollingStone.com really boasts their new 2004 partnership with Real Networks. If you look around RollingStone.com, all the music links lead to Real Rhapsody previews and music videos only come in one format. Before, the music videos lead to a prompt where you could choose QuickTime or Real Player. Now it’s just Real Player- and it downloads a file to your computer, so content isn’t played in the browser any longer.
Really kind of upsetting. Apple is always mentioned in Rolling Stone magazine, but it looks like Real really got this deal. It’s kind of depressing…I visit Rolling Stone all the time, and now it’s all…Real-ized. It sucks.
