“A Night at the Museum” is very well worth seeing.  The movie is well done and there are some parts that will crack you up!  Sit throught the credits so that you can see that “DvD” can still groove/move.

Can you believe it - Disneyland sold out yesterday!  I guess we’ll try again either Friday or Saturday, and this time we’ll get an earlier start!

But, not all was at a loss.  At the Disneyland City Walk, there is an AMC theater and it happened to be showing “Eragon,” which we saw.  It’s a good movie with great visuals but, I was hoping for a little more action.  No spoilers here, you’ll just have to see it for yourself.

While checking out the movie trailers I ran into this:

It looks like the making of a great family movie!

Also,

Yeah, I heard from a number of people that “Blood Diamond” is really good but, I’ll have to wait to catch it on DVD.

“Blood Diamond”

Sigh…
Also known as “brave white guy saves poor witless black people from evil white guy”. Because, you know, they just can’t help themselves…
Let’s just say I found it a teensy weensy bit patronising.

My recommendation for the long winter evenings:
El Metodo

A company uses distressingly intense and cruel way to find the “right person” for a high-profile position. Applicants are encouraged to humiliate, hurt and sabotage each other. Not the right movie to go and see if you’re hunting for a new job. smile

“Driving Lessons” starring Rupert Grint was good.  Entertaining, witty, comedic, coming of age sort of movie.  Well worth seeing.

Next movie that I want to see is “Riding Giants.”  Summer’s here and surfs up dudes!

Juno - you gotta see it, very well done, witty, good acting and everything.

Golden Door - a movie about a family from Italy that struggles hard to make the decision to leave their small village to come to America in the early 1900s.  It is a very beautiful and moving film that looks at the details that immigrants experienced when coming to America via Ellis Island.  Subtitled but, the expressions and emotions speak louder than words.

No Country for Old Men - Kind of a murder thriller where the “Hitchcockesque” elements are just as nervewracking as the graphics.  But, somebody PLEASE explain to me the ending!  I didn’t get it - explain the sherrif’s attitude and his decision to retire?  I just didn’t understand the end of the movie.  Bummer!

That’s all for now…

or as Tigger would say “TTFN” razz
