So, who in here owns the fabulous tibook and what do you like or not like about it? I’m saving my pennies and can’t wait to get one! Anything you all say helps my purchase. Talk about accessories, hardware, etc. Whatever works!!!

GET OUT!

So what did I win? The firewire camera? A new tibook? A million bucks? What? In the stores, all kinds of confetti and stuff drops from the ceiling and there’s music. I don’t hear anything!!!!!

I had the 500th post.  They sent me a new TiBook.  But now I have to complain because OS X runs so *slow* on it.  OMG I feel like throwing it in the trash.  So much for being #500.  icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, i look forward to mine. Heck, if they send it to me, I’ll ... I’ll ... I’ll make macobserver.com my home page!!!!

How’s that for loyalty? That’s ok, Bryan, you don’t have to thank me.

Congratualations all! Back to the TiBook….

My sister had a 1400 from a couple of years ago. (She bought it after the PB G3s were released and the price on the older models dropped.) But she picked up a TiBook 400Mhz right after they were announced.

She loves it. She’s using it primarily for essays (Anthro major), email, web, audio editing (making documentaries has become a hobby of hers), and DVDs.

Of course, I’m her geek-in-service, so I’ve used it a fair amount. It’s an incredible computer.

There is just something about a .... and forgive my use of Apple’s words here ... a supercomputer to go that’s too good to pass up. You can just be so productive with a machine like this, and that’s exactly what I intend to do.

Productive?

I would say, rather: you can do so much with a machine like that. Including be VERY not-productive.

(I say that with the heart of a true gamer. icon_biggrin.gif )

So true. So true. But for anyone who asks, you gotta look productive so they don’t think you spent $3,000 to play video games! Although, what’s wrong with that anyhow?

Maybe I should get an iBook when I replace my 6500.  Everyone here seems to like the portables but I can’t afford a portable and a desktop.  But I like to play games too.  Is the iBook or the PowerBook good for games?

Windows sucks.

They are both good for games, but I imagine the ibook to work as well as the powerbook in that realm.
