Is it too far into the season of Lost to start? Or would I be…...........lost?

Yeah, I heard Alias is slated for Wednesday 9pm Eastern.  This sucks, as that is The West Wing’s time slot.  Maybe they think there’s not much overlap in audience, and maybe they’re right.  But for me it’ll be a PITA.

Meanwhile, I’m thinking that Amazing Race will not finish before 24 starts, and 24’s traditional time slot is Tuesday at 9 (same as Amazing Race).  So yet another conflict.  Argh!  I only watch half a dozen shows, and I get two conflicts now??

DVR for half a dozen shows and basic cable?  Uh-uh.  Needs to be cheaper still before that happens.

Unfortunately, my schedule makes it difficult to watch certain 8pm shows, namely Lost (which looks very good) and Smallville (which has been inconsistent enough this season to turn me off of it).  I’ve pretty much abandoned the latter for the former.

I have to admit, Desperate Housewives is a very good guilty pleasure show.  And it has Marcia Cross, a fabulously talented actress who has been overlooked and underappreciated for most of her career.

Veronica Mars is a surprisingly well-written show, sort of Twin Peaks-ish, film noir, but set in high school.  Unbelievable that it’s on UPN.  Unfortunately, it’s on at the same time as The Amazing Race.

The two shows from last season that I am still crazy about are Everwood, which seems to be better this season after a slightly rocky second season, and Joan of Arcadia, which started the season rocky but really picked up in the last few weeks.  And if it didn’t get treated like dirt by FOX, I would still be watching Wonderfalls, the best show I’ve seen in many years.  I’m definitely buying the DVDs.

Oh, and Gilmore Girls seems to have gone downhill too.

I watch too much TV.  And all I have is one VCR.

what a list…

Athough I’ve heard ‘Lost’ and ‘Amazing Race’ I great.. my schedule does not allow me to catch it—- I know TIVO, but the next day I’ll know the results anyways.. ‘water cooler discussions’.

So what I do watch - Nip/Tuck, waiting for next season. The Law and Order series, but have a hard time with Criminal Intent version. HBO Carnivale coming Jan, Monk( light humor)

Just a few I watch on a regular basis. smile

Now that “Survivor Vanuatu” and “The Apprentice” are over, I’m down to one show - “The Amazing Race.”

Did anyone see the finale of “The Apprentice?”  “The Donald” really eats that stuff up.  I thought that he actually carried the show very well.  That son-of-gun is a natural talk show host!  But, why does he do it?  Does he do it for the money?  I don’t think so, if he’s as successful as he is supposed to be.  Does he do it for the free marketing and publicity for all of his companies?  Or does he do it because he is just an arrogant SOB that loves all of the attention?  I don’t know, but I do enjoy watching the show and I look forward to the next season.

Now I just sit and wait for the next Survivor series and the new show called “The Contender.”

I could’ve been a contender… razz

Maybe this should be in the rant forum?  I was so freakin mad that after rushing to get home and doing all of my chores in order to prepare to watch “The Amazing Race,” CBS changed the time of the show! :x   I couldn’t believe it!  They changed the time of the show in order to air the Kennedy awards or whatever it was.  That really pissed me off!  I still can’t believe it!  Alright, it’s not the end of the world, but you know, in my busy and hectic life I did enjoy looking forward to a little bit of scheduled enjoyment.  Anyway, its over and I’ll get over it, but doesn’t that just annoy you when your favorite TV program gets rescheduled?

I remember, close to 10 years ago, when Babylon 5 was being aired on the local independent/PTEN station, and it was moved to around noon on Saturdays, when I had a weekend-only job during college.  They bumped it back a few hours for some baseball game, and the VCR got an hour of that instead.  I sent them a nasty email over that one!

well, i would say Scrubs, but I seem to always have to schedule a class during that time (Tuesday nights; i had a night class from 6:30-9:30 last quarter, and 6-9 this quarter frown).  But since this is the age of torrents and other such download action, I can normally catch whatever I missed 2 days later.  When I get a job this summer though, I’ll go legit and get a TiVo smile
